Overview
Geespace (浙江时空道宇) is the satellite company of the Geely group, founded in 2018, with offices in Hangzhou and Shanghai, a satellite factory in Taizhou (Zhejiang) and a site in Qingdao. It designs, builds and operates GEESATCOM, a low Earth orbit satellite IoT constellation: six launches between 2022 and 2025 completed its first phase of 64 satellites, covering the globe except the polar regions.
In August 2026 China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology granted Geespace a licence for a commercial satellite IoT trial, the second after Guodian Gaoke. It sells low-power IoT connectivity for connected vehicles (including production Zeekr cars), construction machinery, marine fisheries, energy and water, logistics and emergency communications, and is testing IoT NTN technology. Later phases plan direct-to-phone and broadband satellites.
