Satellite Connectivity Providers in Mexico

Mexico is large, mountainous and unevenly wired, so satellite has long carried the links fibre and mobile networks do not reach: mines, oil and gas sites, rural schools and clinics, bank branches and ATMs, truck fleets and offshore platforms. The federal programme CFE Telecomunicaciones e Internet para Todos buys satellite service for remote communities, from GEO operators as well as from Starlink, which has held a Mexican permit since 2021 and leads the residential market.

Operators with their own network

Elara Comunicaciones runs a teleport in Tlalpan, Mexico City, and sells Ku, Ka and C-band VSAT links, automatic backup and temporary quick-start links to businesses and government. Globalsat (Tijuana) holds a public network concession, combines GEO capacity with Starlink and OneWeb, and installed sites for the CFE programme. Tangerine Electronics holds an IFT concession and runs its own 24/7 NOC with a link-monitoring portal.

Starlink for business

Seven companies listed here are on Starlink's authorized reseller list. Two publish their prices before VAT: APCO Networks sells Local Priority from MXN 755 a month for 50 GB, and Ubix (San Pedro Garza García) a managed plan with fixed IP from MXN 5,870 a month on a 36-month term. Bestel adds Starlink to its own fibre and microwave network, Transcom equips coaches and transport fleets, and Elipgo pairs it with video surveillance and fleet tracking.

Events and temporary sites

Elitesat Networks sets up satellite internet, Wi-Fi and live streaming for festivals, conferences and film shoots, and rents Iridium and Inmarsat satellite phones.

Residential prices, the reseller list and how to check a seller are on the Starlink in Mexico page.
