Overview
Fastnet is an internet service provider in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with offices in Kinshasa (17 Av. Tombalbaye, Gombe) and Lubumbashi (743 Avenue Mama Yemo), and service in Goma and other cities.
Its satellite offer is VSAT connectivity over the PAS-10 satellite footprint, which covers sub-Saharan Africa from the DR Congo, using NetModem terminals. Typical uses are email and browsing, file transfer, VPN, VoIP and videoconferencing for sites beyond the reach of terrestrial networks.
Next to satellite, Fastnet runs fibre optic, WiMAX and MPLS layer 2 and layer 3 VPN services, so a company can combine a terrestrial link in town with a VSAT link on remote sites. Installations are scheduled on appointment.
