Overview

Balkan Telekomünikasyon Hizmetleri Ltd. Şti., based in Üsküdar, Istanbul, is a satellite service provider holding a satellite telecommunication licence from the Turkish telecom authority. Its main service areas are the Caspian countries, the Middle East and Africa: it serves companies operating in Iraq with technical partners in Erbil and Baghdad, in Libya with partners in Benghazi and Tripoli, and in Afghanistan with a partner in Kabul, shipping terminals from Turkey.

It sells shared satellite internet over a DVB-S2/TDMA system, dedicated satellite links for offices, yards and factories with heavy traffic, and VSAT private networks in point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or mesh layouts for data, phone and fax. It also designs the customer's WAN, sets QoS rules for ERP, voice and video traffic, integrates firewalls, and offers VoIP. Hardware includes iDirect, Tooway and SCPC terminals.

Balkan Telekom also resells Eutelsat OneWeb low Earth orbit service, with packages up to 150/30 Mbps and latency under 70 ms for land, mobile and maritime use. The company holds ISO 27001 certification.
