Overview

Anka Marine Electronics is based in Tuzla, Istanbul, and has designed, installed and supported satellite communications, bridge electronics and onboard cyber security for fleets and hundreds of vessels for nearly two decades. Its main hardware partners are KVH and JRC.

On connectivity it installs maritime VSAT, including KVH's 105 cm Ku-band antenna, Eutelsat OneWeb low Earth orbit terminals through KVH, Starlink integration, and L-band Iridium and Inmarsat systems for voice and distress safety. A fleet portal shows live satellite data usage, vessel routes and connectivity metrics. It also carries out class-approved GMDSS radio surveys and annual performance tests of voyage data recorders, IMO 2021 cyber-security work, autopilot and navigation installs and spare-parts supply.

Anka says it works in more than 80 international ports through a partner network, with 24/7 support by certified engineers. Starlink is not licensed in Turkey, including its territorial waters, so Starlink links serve vessels once they are outside Turkish waters.
