About this directory
With more than 7,000 islands, a typhoon season and many barangays beyond the fibre network, the Philippines relies on satellite links for schools, resorts, mines, fishing fleets, disaster response and elections. The companies listed above cover two technologies: Starlink, the low-orbit service available since February 2023, and VSAT on geostationary satellites, which the country has used for decades.
The 2025 law that opens the market
The Konektadong Pinoy Act (Republic Act 12234) lapsed into law in August 2025. Data transmission providers, satellite operators included, no longer need a legislative franchise: they register with the NTC, while spectrum still requires a separate authorization. The law also asks registered providers to prioritize geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. Its effect depends on the implementing rules, so ask any new entrant which registration it holds.
Telcos, integrators and VSAT specialists
The two large fixed operators both resell Starlink to businesses: PLDT Enterprise and Converge. Their advantage is a single contract for the fibre line and the satellite backup. ComClark is also on Starlink's reseller list. We Are IT Philippines (WIT) runs managed VSAT networks across the archipelago and the Asia-Pacific and now resells Starlink too, which suits customers who want both links from one supplier. Ardent Networks, iOne Resources and Data Lake are integrators for enterprise and public-sector rollouts, REVLV Solutions adds managed networks and cybersecurity around the satellite link, and InstallersPH does the site work from Cebu and Makati.
Choosing between LEO and GEO
Starlink's low latency makes it the default for video calls, cloud apps and point-of-sale. VSAT is still chosen where a site needs a contracted service level, a fixed bandwidth or a network already built around it, and as a second path for critical sites. For a multi-island rollout, ask each provider who installs in the provinces, how spares reach the islands and what the support hours are.
